The Fire of Your Heart

Psalm 40:8
"My God, I want to do what You want. Your teachings are in my heart"

Today is another blessing and gift from God. A wonderful and sunny day.
In Seattle, a sunny day is a huge blessing! and I thanked God abundantly for that.

I could woke up early today and went to work earlier too. I'm amaze my self and I know for sure that this is God's work and holly spirit taking control. At work although a little bit sleepy from working on standard work and time study, I still got stuff done..hehehe..

But the climax was after work when I decided to enjoy the weather and decided to get back on my work out mode. So I headed running to greenlake. The 2 miles (1 round) of jogging and running at greenlake turned to 4 miles (2 round) just because I didn't pay attention on when to stop. I was exhausted..my legs were hurt..my heart beats so fast..i'm just tired and it's been so long since i felt this way...
But I made it to walk back to NSCC where I parked my car and decided to ask my bro for "big" dinner after all the work out.

But as I ponder again to my extreme unplanned work out now, I'm actually felt very proud of my self that I could jog plus walk 4 miles and circle greenlake twice. I still couldn't understand how could I missed my turn..but learning form this experience, here is some of my thoughts:

Sometime in following Jesus, I remember Ps. Irwan preached about Spiritual Exercise.
It is like running with God..or exercising with God..
Although it might feel that my legs are about to felt or I'm about to faint or my body about to break down, i still could work on...
Our God is even better..He will catch us if we felt, He will feed us with His words, He will even carry us if needed because He already clean our sins and go beyond what we can image or ask for. Jesus is not like our body or ourself.
If when I jog and i reached my limit, who are going to rescue me? who are going to hold my back? be my support? I'm all alone, jogging by my self..
But our spiritual jogging has Jesus as our Lifeguard!..He is our Coach, our Leader, our Inspiration and Motivation.
And although it might feel very hard, like my legs almost break, if you keep pressing on and head to the finish line, you will feel proud of your self.
The same like our spiritual exercise..if we keep on pressing forward, it's not God who will benefit but it is us...could it be better than this?

here is the illustration on spiritual exercise:
God is our Coach, He support us, we just need to jog...
When we feel tired, He will refresh us.
When we almost break down, He will catch us.
When we finally reach our final destination, it is not God who will benefit but it is us who will win the price..could you image that?
It is like having the number one coach for free to train us to win Olympic.
He guarantee to catch us when we felt, to refresh us, to support us, to feed us, to love us and 100% guarantee if we follow His teaching, we will win Olympic.
That is our God Jesus as the coach!

Isn't it God is great?
