Almost done with my work today!
I'm still at the office, it's 10 minutes before I'm officially off work..hehehe..
So let's use the 10 minutes for a good cause by writing my blog...=p
Anyhow, today I'm pretty busy. Now I have 2 projects at the same time.
But I'm extremely happy with it..it's better to be busy then got nothing to do.
I'm starting my diet today! fruit breakfast and less lunch without dinner.
I'm not sure with the no dinner part yet, but I'll try my best.
I'll give the report later today or tomorrow.
Btw, I would like to discuss about Maid.
I read this friend of mine and Cj's blog yerterday and found an interesting story about her maid.
So the story is about how she was complaining that she has this annoying maid that didn't listen to her and sometimes talk back to her or steal stuff.
The first respond that I had was "WOW, she's mean"
But couple seconds after that I was " WOW what's wrong with me?"
So the logic behind it is that I was shock at first for what i read because in my opinion, she sounds mean to me. And then I realize that Hey! I'm Indonesian, I'm used to that. my mom did that too all the time and that's kinda the normal thing to do to your maid (order your maid around and yell at them).
Going back home still thinking about this, I realize something.
It's not that I'm super nice and I'm nobody to judge other people.
I think the reason why I responded the way I responded at first might be caused by the way I live my life for the past 6 years without maid.
And because I live in US where Human Rights are a big thing, it just sounds mean at first when I read her blog. But once again, I'm not judging!
So a question that I asked my self. Do I want to have a maid when I come back home?
Maybe. depend...I do realize that being a maid SUCKS!
I'm working right now and I know that working for other people and being a maid or servant is totally different.
Working at office, you have the rights to choose if you would like to obey order.
Being a maid means serving others, you don't have the luxury to choose to obey.
it's a must and it's your job to obey your "master".
So do I want to have a maid? If I could, I wouldn't.
The ideal situation would be just having a “call maid” where she came and clean stuff and go back after lunch to her own house.
I absolutely don't want to have maid staying at my place.
So looking at her situation and imagining if I put my self into her shoes what would it be?
I'm a working mom, have a young boy, a husband, a house and a dog.
That sounds like a tough scenario. But if it's the same situation in US, this is very common scenario.
I could have my child place at child care while I’m working. After work, pick up child at child care, cook and do laundry.
On the weekend, I’ll do more of my vacuuming and other cleaning stuff.
Seems to be easier here in US living without a maid..
I’ve been living without it for 6 years and I’m fine with it.
So conclusion: Maid or No Maid?
I’ll choose No Maid for now.
^___^
